All assignments are due at the beginning of the relevant lecture, and all references must be assiduously documented. Detailed information will appear as assignments draw nearer.
Short Film Analysis - 20%

Length: 6-7 pages

Takes place in two stages:
Part 1: Proposal (1-2 pages) – 5%,

| Participation – 10%
This course is designed as a lecture with plenty of time for discussion. Students should be familiar with the readings for each lecture, and will be expected to engage in discussion about the week’s topic and film.
Students will complete a Mini Analysis of the week's film on three occasions, and hand it in as part of class participation (Sept 21, Oct 26, Nov 16). A blank analysis sheet sheet is available at the front of the reader, or on the Handouts page. |

A late penalty of 2% per weekday will be applied, unless the assignment is accompanied by a doctor’s note.
